Arizona Chickens

One of the chicks picked a wet leaf out of the waterer and is running around the pen squealing like she's found so.e great prize, so everyone else is chasing her to get a little of that wet leaf. Weirdos.

I love watching the chicks when they are playing the "keep away" game. :)

My crossbow is in the spare room. I need to get new bales of hay to put in the back of the yard on the pallets to replace those older bales. We stack them up and use those to practice.

We have a full-sized crossbow (technically my husband's, but I'm a better shot with it) and a "pistol"-sized crossbow that we thought was a cute novelty, and which actually turned out to be a darn impressive little thing...deadly accurate. We bought dozens of extra bolts for the thing because we were so impressed with it. That's one of my go-tos because it doesn't disturb the neighbors when I shoot it.

Seem's like we both have an archery interest, then! Do you compete?

Nope! I'm not much of a competition with other people kinda gal. All of my competing is a personal best kind of endeavor. I'd actually like to take 'real' archery lessons one day, along with my husband, but to date there's just not enough time. Maybe when we (finally) retire.

My hubby used to compete in archery until he dislocated his shoulder a few years back. He hasn't gotten back into competing in the archery competition's since then.

My rain gauge says almost 1.5 inches but that rain was coming in sideways! And it was cold!

I don't know how many inches of rain fell here. It stopped raining before my coffee was kicked in. It seem's that most of that water at the end of the driveway has soaked into the ground now. I was just looking at the clouds, and it look's like we may get more rain yet today. I hope that it stay's cool like this so I can leave the air-conditioner off.
