Happy new year friends! I am being a bum today and staying inside with warm clothes. We got a teeny bit of snow but it didn't stick for long this morning.

Happy New Year everyone. We stayed in last night. We went to look at the 3 acres but it is to far to drive to our jobs. So next is an acre at 355 ave. It’s not as far off I10 so will be a faster commute to work.

My chicks are inside so they are toasty.

Hi all, Happy New Year!

The quail were out early this morning and went to bed just before sunrise when it was really cold. I can't believe I'm out there around 330 to give them scratch. Weird little birds!

The chickens are getting some warm oatmeal tomorrow morning with their scratch and mealworms. Two are heavily molting, poor thingsbu A few girls enjoyed a dust bath and some sun together while Fugly protected them He is trying so hard to impress them.

The snow made it to Fort Thomas this morning. The Aloha roo was out and only one of the girls came out of hiding to say Hi and it was a marans. Got about 2 inches and it's now finally slowing down and some of the other girls are coming out to explore...

I guess that now we know why they molted so hard this year? They needed all of those new feather's to keep them warm for this kind of winter?
