I've never been one for "fashion" my clothes are for wearing, not showing off, my car's are for getting me from point A to point B without leaving me walking for help..lol. I'm happy for those that enjoy showing their birds and that can afford that kinda up keep.. just not for me, I'd be sad if I lost my flock to a coyote, but I feel for them as those birds are a investment. We use to live in SC, had several homes that were up there in the 6+ digits. They were "lake front" properties, we had a drought and those lake fronts were sitting in front of mud.. Boats and docks sitting in mud.. I'll take my mutts.I think that the show chicken's aren't bred for their egg laying abilities anyway's, and they are bred instead for how they look. It's just another "fashion show".
