Arizona Chickens

I had a dozen eggs from the girls prior to the coyotes getting in. 3 blue egg EE, 2 green EE, 5 RIR EE cross, 2 light tan EE. I got 6 chicks now 2 confirmed roos using first day feather check. I still have to check the newest hatch its at our friends house atm.

Good luck with them, and make sure that the coyotes can't get into these one's. It will be some time before these new one's can start giving you egg's.

She has some nice coloring going on! I love how Fugly is turning out!

I'm thrilled that the hen grew in all that mottling. This was her first real molt, most of the white left last year.

I'm very happy with Fugly. I laugh at him often and he gives me the evil eye like he might understand.

He's been singing the egg song with the girls the last few days, I can't help but smile and pause to listen.

Yes, it's cute when the roo help's to sing the egg song too. Fugly's daddy Charley stay's out of my way when I walk around in there doing thing's. That NN girl that you liked with the darkness around her eye's like's to follow me around in there and let's me run my hand on her back. The 2 Nn/CCLB pullet's with the crest's like to follow me at feeding time waiting for special feed that the older one's won't chase them away from. All of my hen's were getting redder in the comb's yesterday, so maybe I'll get more egg's today.
