I agree with @starri33. You have some time so you can watch for a bit. A couple times out for a bit of time then back in and then moved. I bet it goes just fine.

@igorsMistress Our move is finally complete and we just officially closed on the sale of our old house/property yesterday! So we can breathe a sigh of relief. Moving is stressful. Selling a house is stressful. We are done! Just a few more things to hang up on the wall and some boxes to unpack in the office and that’s it! Only took about two months haha.

Today there was a teeny tiny white egg in the run. I think Lady the white leghorn laid it. I know it can happen from time to time. My husband was so confused as to how a dove could have possibly gotten into the coop, and why would a dove lay an egg in the sand? He cracked it open and there was no yolk inside but it was very clearly a chicken egg. The dog got to have it for a snack.

I am in Tucson and have a flock of nine hens, all different breeds. I used to have ten but we lost one a few weeks ago unfortunately. I’m always using this group for chicken advice, especially when it pertains to our hot desert climate!

@FeatherPugs , @igorsMistress , @cactusrota , @BlueBaby , Thank you Ladies, I think it's time as well. they keep trying to escape, one of my first hatch did and I could not catch him, so I said to heck with it, left the door to the grow out open and they just moved on out.. did have to keep chasing them out of the coop every now and then so they could figure out there was a run out there. lol. The escape artist from that batch is now head Roo. The 4 hens have started laying. Will keep you posted as to how it goes.

I'll be around via PM but not on threads for a while. I'm tired of rude people and the facebook mentality. This used to be a nice place to hang out.

I will miss you you are one of the first to make me feel welcome here. I can understand the aggravation with the FB mentally, I have a few groups that I own/admin over there. 2 of them are groups where people can be as rude and nasty as they want, they were designed with keeping that kinda stuff out of some of the family type groups. When dealing with stupid people I will have to admit my language can get colorful.

I'm still here, I can't leave my favorite people here on BYC. I have been a bit stressed by sadness and decisions and was being melodramatic. Just smack me when I do that
