Wow, I was further behind than I thought!! I'm trying to just keep up in the chicken yard as I'm spending most of my time at the hospital with my DH. His kidneys are trying to shut down. There is new heart stuff going on and he has aspiration pneumonia. Nothing is pretty right now.....been there since Wednesday. He is looking for at least a couple week if not more stay. I am darn tired now - no telling what a couple weeks might do! Stay well and safe friends. Hello to new faces and new chicks - gotta love it - new chicks always make me smile.

You're both in my thoughts, I hope all turns out well

Speedy recovery for your DH.

I’m cleaning today. I’ll be glad when most of my chickens will be outside full time. They are messy!

Eight of the bought eggs are still developing so hope to get at least 6 to hatch. They will be 4 of July babies lol.

I'm not seeing any pointy feathers in the saddle area or curling down tail feather's, so I would say it's a girl.

Thank you for the kind words for my DH. Very exhausting for sure. Hopefully it will work out - right now we are just hoping for "going home". We are probably looking at at least another week!
