The roosts in my coop are about 3ish feet off the ground. My chicks are up there all the time.

Probably because they could short out or cause electrical fire's?

They could.. best you have a licensed electrician come in and put it in. I draw the line at hubby trying to do it.

Our's start at about 6 inches and go up to about 6 ft, they are kinda like a ladder laid up against the wall

These are the ones I installed, all 1 level:

They are a foot off the ground just like the trailer but they have more width for them to wrap their feet around (sorry I don’t have better pics of that.)

So happy my bigger chicks are getting more and more color to them they are the golden sex links... the Cuckoos are getting more and more spots also so breaking up the all black fluff they had...

Evening, it's seeming to be broody season here..lol, I just got over having Jill, Midnight and Cruella broody, kept seeing broody poops and not finding egg stashes, turns out that I've been doing my final egg collection for the day while she's been down out of the nest, I was later than normal today and there she sat, growled and poofed up at me when I went to get the eggs, I said to heck with it, gave her 4 eggs, marked them and left her be.. Hopefully Midnight and Cruella get back to laying, I haven't caught them in the nest box yet. I'm going to be in trouble if they all decide to go broody at once.

But I thought that a while back that you were wishing for broodies! Isn't that why you got the idea about getting those silkie egg's to hatch?

My broody was off the nest for the hottest part of the day. That made me happy. It's so hot and I know she'd be more comfortable in an open nest, but at least she gave herself a break. That is a smart chicken, I just hope the eggs are ok.
