Yeah. It's ok, he's happy where he is.Well, you had him first, but kept the Blue Australorp you named Kazoo instead.

They get settled you can always see about getting hatching eggs.Yes the black roo they named Clyde. He is just beautiful! I'm kinda jealous lol.
My goal is to get rid of chickens not add to my flock right now. I am working on a fully Nn flock other than my Dorking mix girl Cuckoo. They get settled you can always see about getting hatching eggs.just found out that a friend has frizzle silkies, going to look at getting some hatching eggs from them to add to my flock.
Ok so I think my mystery chick is a D'Uccle afterall, cutest chipmunk cheeks!! My daughter (age 7) and I are stressing, looking at chick pics trying to figure out if it's a girl or boy. So... I had an idea (probably not a good one) to just add a couple more to our bunch so we increase the odds of girls. These two new ones are also D'uccle, and I have two silkie chicks too
I think I need some acreage

I will offer them to a group I belong to, especially since they are a nice bantam breed. But the pet store has told me they'll take them back for breeding. That was my first question before I bought them. BUT! i have heard of some roosters (silkie or D'Uccle) that are very quiet... so there is the chance of keeping one if its mellow enough.I hope that you have plan's established in advance if you have any roo's but can't keep them. Most people don't want or can't have any roo's. Very few of my extra's get to be rehomed for breeding, and most of them go for food.

Oh, my daughter and I have already been crying about the prospect of sending Minnie Mouse away! So it's definitely on our mind. The shop is selling out though, so I'll have to drive a bit to their further location if I want to give it to them, but that's an option. I know it's not likely, but I want to at least TRY to live with my roo (probably not more than one though). I already have this one stepping up and it knows its name (so cute!!)... my vibe is it's a roo thoughI just didn't want you to be disappointed in how hard that the roo's are to rehome sometime's. Maybe it will be easier now though with the bigger breed's, with this meat shortage that's supposed to be hitting us.
