If she is not drinking, and unable to successfully swallow, it could be that her internal organs are shutting down. I took both my dogs in too late (still alive, but totally suffering) after the vets had asked me to let them put them down about a week earlier. I know it is so hard, but sometimes I think we are postponing our own suffering at the expense of our animals that we don't want to let go. I think you have made her a princess in her last days, and having you with her will bring her even more peace in her final moments. So sorry it is so hard.Afraid my foster kitty isn't doing to good, she's refusing to drink today.. I hate the thought of having to give her water or whatever by syringe but that is what it's looking like I am going to have to do, she's got some kinda issue going on with her throat as she makes this clacking noise everytime she swallows. The animal shelter is the one I am fostering through, they are responsible for her Vet Care, but they can also say, well, lets put her down.. I don't want that to happen.
I wouldn't blame mother nature, maybe the curse of 2020!!Well, the young pullet that was beaned by hail passed in the night. She never did recover fully. and after receiving the casting material, the pullet with a broken leg, which faces backwards, is not broken at the joint I thought and can't have a cast applied. As long as she eats and drinks and is not in pain, I'll not put her down, for now.
someone tell Mother Nature I heard her loud and clear and the house is for sale now and i will be moving, so leave off.
Very well said, it's tough to do but so often is the kindest thing. If she is not drinking, and unable to successfully swallow, it could be that her internal organs are shutting down. Hopefully he got it fixed right this time. I gave him a dozen of my largest egg's trying to butter him up for a better repair. We'll see how long it work's properly this time.

This is the big plastic kind like you have in the house. 36 inches for dogs up to 70 pounds. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D6XQGKG/ref=twister_B01N30IBZO?_encoding=UTF8&th=1I had to attach hardware cloth wire on my grow out pen (large foldable wire dog crate) to keep those little chick head's inside so they won't get pecked by the adults.
