OK, I'm officially in on the Easter Hatch-A-Long. I'll be setting a dozen egg's for it on March 13th, but might have a few set before that also for a split hatch.

@CaroleW Will you be joining me in it?
Maybe - waiting to see if the eggs are getting bigger by then. If they do then @Parront may also get some of these eggs or some of her own flock's eggs in time for the hatch-a-long.

I'm excited to see my first hatch-- soon! And thanks for reminding me when it starts!

I hope that you do. Would you be hatching some from Roger? His chick's will make us both a grandma. :lau

My Barred Hollands have been laying for almost 2 months now, eggs are larger than the were at the beginning. They might always be smaller than the Leghourn eggs.
I am eying the incubators at the Tractor Supply;)! But, the soonest date I got for the chicks from Sandhill Preservation is April 6. Pretty close to the Easter due date. I've been waiting on them for a year, so I do not think I want to hatch more until after I get those.

I only have the Wyandotte in that pen that I really want to try hatching crossed with Roger. She's the only brown egg layer in that pen, easy to know her eggs. Not sure if her eggs are fertile but will try them when I get enough to fill my incubator with the Barred Hollands.

I might try one of the other hens eggs in Roger's pen but I'd have to be right there to see a specific breed lay it to know who's egg it is since they are all large white eggs mostly the same size.

Will let you know when you might be a grandma so you can prepare!!!
