I'm not sure all parents care if the little chicks make it much past Easter or not. It was a fun gift for the kids, then oh well, it's gone.

I have seen those signs too.. and the one that didn't have a sign asked me about the 1 i was buying and if i had other chicks (went back for another after the initial brood). But kids are heading back to school, so maybe the demand will calm down now.Not sure of the rules/guidelines in AZ, but here in Land of Lincoln, at the larger feed store (like the one I go to),,, there is a 6 chick minimum purchase. This does put the One Easter Chick for grandson/granddaughter , at a disadvantage. Some of the smaller feed stores did not post such minimum purchase requirements. They also did not have very large numbers of chicks in stock.
that's what I thought.I'm not sure all parents care if the little chicks make it much past Easter or not. It was a fun gift for the kids, then oh well, it's gone.![]()
Last I heard Olsen's would sell a minimum of 2 just because they're flock animals and TSC had the 4-6 minimum. You'd think they'd need maximums now, just to keep the first few customers from buying them out though.I have seen those signs too.. and the one that didn't have a sign asked me about the 1 i was buying and if i had other chicks (went back for another after the initial brood). Yes, at pratte last year, they had a 3 minimum and 8 max. Haven't seen what they have now because i must avoid all chicks at any cost.Last I heard Olsen's would sell a minimum of 2 just because they're flock animals and TSC had the 4-6 minimum. I wear different shoes, too, when I go there. Hands in pockets, and wipes in the car, not just for Covid!I always look, but keep at least several feet away. I don't want to bring any disease home to the flock. But they are too cute not to look!![]()
