Arizona Chickens

I finally got the new Naked Neck hens/pullets in with Roger's group this morning. First tetris move for my flocks. I have to take it slow- pulled my back out from sitting too long at desk on work deadlines.

Hope your back get's better soon. Is there a way that you could put some type of pillow behind your back while you are sitting doing that?

This is a relatively medium level of back pain for me - I can still move and walk. I just need to use a little rake or kitchen dipper to reach some eggs!

Also everyone should keep in mind if you ever have back pain - you could be depressed - it is a common symptom of depression. I'm not depressed, I've checked...LOL.

I have a list of tools when this happens (because I forget some of them), TENS unit, gatorade or other forms of electrolites, Tiger Balm, SalonPas or Capsacium patches, lumbar pillow, ibuprofen, less coffee and more I can't remember. And I found a new app that guides you thru appropriate PT exercises based on if you're in pain or not.

Have you gone in to have it looked at yet? My DH had to have a back operation a few month's ago to have a bone spur scraped.

I have a long time ago, it could progress to be worse, it started with a car rear ending me - I used to go to chiropractor for it many years ago. As long as I can move and do my exercises I don't want to go in to be treated - the tools I use work still most of the time better than anything the doctors want to do. I've had too many friends get surgery and they are no better afterwards even with fused together stuff the doctors did.

and my hubby went to a chiropractor who used a table to essentially "stretch" him to adjust his back. he needed neuro surgery as a result.

@BlueBaby - That would be a RedBaby - you might have to change your screen name!

It's interesting though that they came from out of 2 fully feathered Buff Orpington parent's. There has to be some sort of recessive gene somewhere in the back-lineage of those parent's.
