EwwwHard to make soup out of them, though...
My dh has told my of all the ones he comes across at work and picks them up, scares the crap out of his crew mates before putting them under a bush, I'd never seen one in person before this. They are nocturnal so that's probably why I never see them. We have lots of small holes in the yard, probably only big enough to fit 1 or 2 fingers in where the lizards burrow to lay eggs, I found 1 twice that size last week so I wonder if it belongs to the tarantula. I can't sit and watch the hole to see what comes out without the kids following me, they don't bother with the holes in general but I don't want to bring their attention to them either and have them go poking around in them. Lots of baby toads out lately too but with the wash across the road I'm in their hunting areaSo beautiful. We have some up here on our lot (they're shy and have hidden somewhere since we finished the house). There's one I see fairly often...I call her Demi-Luna because we first "met" at the half-moon.First time I ever played with them was at Camp Fire Girls summer camp, a very very long time ago.

There are alot of different odd things to raise as a business venture ...My neighbor used to raise feeder rats for snakes when he lived in CA.Need to consider switching from chickens to raising spiders![]()
I thought so too but after learning that human meat is fda certified vegan, I'll never look at "meat" substitutes the same, still can't bring myself to eat fast food either after reading a news article of human remains found in burger patties in a refrigerated truck on its way to a McDonald's or Burger King. I get that accidents happen but just knowing it's happened and almost made it onto someones plate is too much risk im willing to take. We buy from the local farm now, it's not a big place but it's peace of mind and we grind our own beef. There are cannibal restaurants too, I thought it was a rumor but curiosity got the best of me and that's how I found the fda info. Wish I could unlearn that but it's led me to make healthier food choices.Ugh! this story was science fiction when written.

You had me do a google search to find out what they eat. This site even tells how long the average lifespan is too.My dh has told my of all the ones he comes across at work and picks them up, scares the crap out of his crew mates before putting them under a bush, I'd never seen one in person before this.
