I just finished candling the 11 duck egg's, and removed 2 of them because there wasn't anything going on with them. The other 9 egg's were looking good though.

Ack! Rain! Was not expecting that. Had all the lumber for the coop sitting out. We ran outside at 2:00 A.M. and pulled it all into the laundry room. I think it'll be okay. Looks like there's a little snow up in the mountains.

Anyone else getting some rain or snow today?

Still waiting on the coop itself. I think it must be stuck on one of those container ships off the coast...

I got rain, and very low temps,almost freezing. supposed to get really cold here tonight.

I got rain, but I knew it was coming because I watch the weather report on the new's.

It seems that I have another new layer that started up. I found a new smaller egg out there this morning, so that mean's that 3 of the pullet's are now laying. I wonder if Miss Red will lay one of her's today too. She's my red Naked Neck hen.

We knew the rain was coming just not that early! The wood is dry and looks okay. Most of it we got for free off Craigslist. It's for the smaller henhouse and a predator-proof run door. It'll be my first door build so I'm looking forward to it.

Yes, rain and some frost and small puddle frozen north of Prescott. I just made a bunch of sandbags from leftover sand my DH had and some chicken feed bags. I had CMU block on top of greenhouse flaps but they rolled downhill off the flaps during last nite's mild storm with slight winds. So I added some boards under the CMU and then realized i had all that sand and sandbags materials!

Ducks - YAY! Are you hatching them for yourself or a neighbor? I probably missed that you were hatching ducks while I was offline for a while.

Yes, they are Welsh Harlequin's, and they are supposed to be sexable at hatch. Do you need some?
