Arizona Chickens

FYI, I had a round with the feral cats up here. If it's not pettable/adoptable, they won't take it. If it's a neighbor's owned cat, you might be OK, I think they only take them by appointments though. Funny I think they still come out to pick up dogs....
I think that all cat's are considered a feral animal that are outdoor's wheather someone own's them or not. If they are outdoor's then you cannot contain them as they will jump over thier fences to get out of the yard's.

Ferals are not owned, never been owned. Strays were owned but gotten rid of, escaped etc.

There are some people who actually trap and fix the ferals. I adopted one once - he was great but my DH new dog made him go back outside. I still took care of him in my backyard though. And now my neighbor is a Godsend in taking care of trapping and fixing any cats/kittens around me that survive the coyotes and aerial predators. They will clip one ear to mark them as fixed so you know.

I agree, but what could you do with them after that except get sued for kidnapping and/or abuse?

All my cats are fixed ferals, (and ear-tipped) View Avatar. ,, Some of them are 14 years old now.

A little off topic here, but had a question. Should I shoo my pullet out of the nestbox? She's been sitting in the nestbox all day.

[Background: 5 pullets, 2 nestboxes, but they all use just the one -- the one she's taken over.]
Definitely not off topic! No roosters right? Is she sitting on eggs? I would kick her out if that’s the case.
