Yes, I had a short break in eggs but my gals started up again after their molt. I’m getting 4 to 5 eggs a day now. They will slow down or stop next winter most likely so if you can I suggest you store any extras you get in summer if you don’t want to buy store eggs next winter. I’m going to try both freezing and waterglassing to see which works better. I think the water glass option will be the easiest.I bet they're loving the (relatively) warm greenhouse! That's not many eggs you've been getting.
I guess that cold where you are is affecting their laying? I've been getting 3 eggs per day from my 5 pullets. (Two of them are laying daily.) Is that because they are in their first year I wonder?
