They just arrived so they are still viable. These are not from hatcheries.Dangit! You're 2 hours from me or I would come get them!
I wouldn't be able to make it. Still at work (working hard as you can see haha) and meeting someone to sell some chickens after work. They just arrived so they are still viable. These are not from hatcheries.
Ok. I just thought I would be nice and toss the offer out there if somebody wanted them so they wouldn't go to waste. None of my Bielefelder girls are broody right now, or I could give them the extras.I wouldn't be able to make it. I hope someone takes them! I really want to hatch some this year with my son!Ok. I just thought I would be nice and toss the offer out there if somebody wanted them so they wouldn't go to waste. None of my Bielefelder girls are broody right now, or I could give them the extras.
I hope someone takes them too. If they don't then i guess that I can always boil them up to crush and feed them to the flock.I hope someone takes them! I really want to hatch some this year with my son!
Second option to consider,, When you candle them @ 7 days, some may not be developing. You can still replace the duds with what you have. I know you get a scattered hatch, but still all may work out.I hope someone takes them too. If they don't then i guess that I can always boil them up to crush and feed them to the flock.

Yes, I guess that I could do that, but since these are white egg's I could probably candle at 3 to 4 days and be able to see if something is happening in them. The darker the egg is, the harder it is to see inside of them.Second option to consider,, When you candle them @ 7 days, some may not be developing. You can still replace the duds with what you have.
