Pabst Blue Ribbon

No wait... Plymoth Barred Rock

When I was a little kid, I used to love the Pabst Blue Ribbon Commercials. . . "in the land of sky blue wa- ah -ters"

Umm...I loved it too, but it was Hamm's, not PBR.

From the land of sky blue waters.

From the land of pines (i think), lofty mountains

comes the beer refreshing...Hamm's the beer refreshing...Haaaaaamm's

Not all rural. We are on the far east side only about 5 miles from a trailhead called Douglas Springs- I learned today that this is a 'residential' bobcat- he was actually in my coop. The very bad thing was that my 3 and 5 year old saw this. Lots of wildlife coming from the mountains to look for water and food. The bobcat is now primero on my craplist.

Chrystal is having bobcat issues too. She lives butted up to a nursery, and there is a bobcat with 3 kits living there. It is slowly taking care of her excess roos....

Where do you find this crap?? (PUN!)

It was the foamy frothy one, under the normal category. PHEW!

I remember doing a search when my first pullet got sick--and then there was a small thread earlier this week. SO, it was an easy find. The poos that bug me are the ones that happen every 8-10 times and are minimal sloughing off of the intestinal lining. I was an RA at the UofA for 3 years...every time I see one of the red poos I have flashbacks of dumb freshman. "Why am I always dizzy and getting fat? I only drink diet soda and smoke---except when I am drinking. What is this water you speak of?"

I don't think that bobcats are protected, though I may be wrong. I know the Ocelot and a jaguar are both protected/ endangered threatenend or whatever, the federal govermnments way of mandating that you provide it food till you can't afford it and start buying eggs at the store... Good luck

Wow, the rare double condescending response. First, blame the person that would legally resolve a predator issue, then blame the victim for poor poultry management skills!

Normally I would never do this but I am guessing you are playful and will see the humor in this.

My girls are "overachieving" again. . . 5 eggs from 4 pullets, yesterday. . . looks like it was the RIR that laid two. . . it is kindof nice to have eggs that are different enough looking that you can tell who laid what. Do you suppose it's because I reward egg laying with peanuts? I can't imagine they actually associate that. . . .

I got 6 eggs yesterday!

That is the most I have ever gotten in one day.

Of course, this probably means they will take a 3-day weekend and not lay anything---even though we are home for breakfast.
