Yes you can mix breeds. I looked on their website and there is a waiting list for pretty much everything good until at least June.

I'm thinking maybe I should stick to convincing Laree too keep hatching eggs for me

I just went to look at my Rhode Island and now Im pretty sure my pullet is a cockerel! Ugh. So with that Ill have 1 pullet total.
Most likely 4 would be nice number but who knows if they might be cockerels too. 6 is a fine number too.
Isn't it true some chicks will not make it threw delivery?

EDIT: I'm also looking for Silkies too.

It seems to be the smart thing to do. Even if chicks all make it I know a few people who would be interested.

Are any of the websites offering Sultans and Delawares? Though I don't know if Delawares are loud...
