For some reason I have not been getting my email notices that there are new posts.
Got way behind!!
Happy Belated Birthday,
Mahonri!!
Laree Hang in there. I think the mites can really take it out of them. So sorry about your lost one. Poor thing. You are dealing with a lot, but as someone else said, it is just waiting for them to recover now. I use Raw Apple Cider Vinegar when the flock looks like they aren't doing so well. I found several sites that explain its benefits. You can find them through google. I think this one might be okay to link

It is a mild antibiotic as well as being beneficial in many other ways, so maybe you could switch to RACV from the antibiotics when they have completed treatment or even during. It helps with respiratory congestion.
I find that it really perks up birds that seem a little lethargic. I even feel safe giving it to tiny chicks if I see signs of lethargy and illness - perks 'em right up.
I just mix it in their water source. Keeps the water clean, too. Hope that helps. Here's one more
I am happy to report that all is well in the coop. My scary, angry broody has everyone getting along out there. Two year old hens, 4 month old roosters, 2 month old chicks and 3 week old chicks. You just can't believe how peaceful it is out there. Yes, they are all scared of the broody, but she is keeping everyone in line.
The roosters have both started crowing and they like to start at 4 am.
Not sure my neighbor is going to like us anymore.
