Good luck on your car hunting. I refuse to buy a brand new car, too, especially after I read that most millionnaires drive used cars- I figure that counts for something. I recently traded my Buick LeSabre for a used Toyota Rav4. Love it. When asked why I didn't get a new one, I told them that I am on a budget, and my insurance and tags would go way up. This way, my insurance went up $15 per month and my tags went up about $100.00 per year.
My roosters usually start crowing about 4:00 am, that is when my DH and I get up for work, so I'm thinking they see the lights on in the house. Luckily, both of my neighbors grew up on farms with chickens, and they both told me they like the roosters crowing. My goal is to downsize my laying flock to 30 hens and 3 roosters. Now, if they would just stand still so I can figure out which cockerals I want to keep, it would make my job a whole lot easier. Any suggestions on making that happen?
It is nice to have a long weekend. I actually took 3 days off from my full-time job, but am still working a couple of hours in the morning at my part-time job. So, I am done about 11:00 am and the rest of my day is mine. Of course, I carted around my DS and friend yesterday, not sure what is in store today.
Have a great one!

Mine usually start sometime around 3 or 3:30am. No one at our house or the neighbors is getting up then, so who knows why. There is a place in Bible where it talks about praising God all day long, deliberately setting hte time to praise him at cocks' crow, dawn, midmorning, noon, etc. I found it facinating that cocks' crow was listed separately from dawn.
