I've missed a lot on here the last few days. Had lots going on.

To all the rooster pics, wish I had room for them, they are handsome roos.

Tonopah Pati, keep up the good fight.

NoSkiveez, she seems to be doing fine. No eggs, but no shaking. Eating, drinking and pooping on what seems a normal basis. I've got her segregated. Will keep her so for another couple of days. If she continues, I can bring her back. I'll be going to the chiropractor M,W,and F, for a little bit, and he's at 7th St. and T-bird, so I can swing by.

Mahonri, what did you cross to come up with such a wide beak on this chick?

This is the first half of the hatch. A bunch more are still trying, they started last night.

I'm going to have a boatload of mixed breed chicks from my flock in the next day or so if anybody wants some. I put 60 in the bator to keep Mahonri's eggs company.

I am assuming you are talking to me and not NoSkiveez. Holy cow, she is doing ok? I am stumped. Amazing. Keep me posted.
What's up with the truck? And I already know why you are going to the chiropractor. How bad do you feel? I just feel terrible that happened. You are truly wonderful for still taking betty.

Im glad the bound up Brahma is doing better.

No roosters for me, please. I still have one I would like to find a home for. I take that back, two I would like to find a home for.

Pastrymama, yes I'm sorry, I was supposed to be talking to you. NoSkiveez, sorry for the confusion. I'm more skatterbrained than usual.
re: the FBCMDuck. Pastrymama, it's a duck. It's a cross between a brown runner and a big white one I don't know the breed of. As for the truck, I haven't put it in the shop yet, they said a minimum of 2 weeks to fix it, 5 to 7 thousand dollars, (insurance will cover it) and today I feel like crap. My back is killing me.
I'll keep you posted on Betty.

Bob - where you in an accident recently? Did I miss something. Either way I hope your back is feeling better soon.

Are you getting close to hatch day? I don't remember which day we met. I'm anxious to see what you hatch!! I'm most interested in the itty bitty eggs. I can't wait to see what they look like.

Bob... having suffered with a bad back since I was 18 years old... I feel your pain. Hope you get better soon.

I've found over the years that the very best thing for my back is walking.

Today I called before I drove. Got 10 bags of Egg Maker layer pellets at The Feed Barn. When you buy 10 or more she reduces the price $1 a bag.

Also got some lice/mite spray. We'll see how it works. I'd be fine if it weren't for all the danged wild birds that try and get into my run.

I'm loving this weekend so far.

I've got 3 boxes of toothbrushes to give out to the trick or treaters.

Good looking roosters! I was looking to get rid of a rooster recently. I went to AZ Feed Store in Tucson, and they told me they pay $4 for every rooster. Then the coyote took care of the problem for us. Anyway, I am new to this, but is there any reason you wouldn't sell them to a feed store?

beverlyl, if my city and neighbors would allow it, I'd take one of those roosters in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, they wouldn't. Handsome birds.


Bob's henhouse, were you in an accident while being a good samaritan? I hope you're back is better. Back pain stinks. Your newly hatched chicks & FBCM duck are very cute. Your flock seems to be getting larger everyday.

Bob is just an all around great guy!

He came to give blood for my son's Eagle project.
They asked him to give platelets, he said yes, their machine wouldn't work and so he ended up giving a double donation of whole blood.

I just feel badly that the bad stuff happens when he is being such a good neighbor... a neighbor that lives 50 miles away!!

Time for me to get up and walk the dog and get my boys outside cleaning coops. I may buy them some breakfast from Mickey Dees.
