Arizona Chickens

I am sooooooooooo tired today.

Went to ostrich festival friday. 6 hours of rides.
Company came in Saturday morning: 10 people, 1 bathroom, 4 small-small children.
Had a chick hatch early last night at 10 pm. Had to scramble to get it a clean brooder and shift the meaties to their new home.
Went to bed at midnight, with the windows open.
Couldnt sleep until 2 am.
Mine and my neighbors' roosters started competing for Ultimate Crow Dominance at 3:45 am.
At work by 7:30.

I don't think I could pump enough coffee intravenously to wake my self up.


Anywhoo--I am going to offer up my 3 banty roosters for sale, if anyone wants them. I don't want to contribute more than necessary to the neighborhood din.

I have a black sizzle (Moe), a flat-feathered blue sizzle (Bruiser ), and an MFC (Fancy Pants )


ETA: all three have been vaccinated for Marek's and are being re-vaccinated for New Castle/IB this evening.

I hope your coop turns out great!!!! You know, I was thinking of just using one of the xlarge dog crates in our garage next time, and brooding on the porch (not the bathtub anytime again). I have a spare if you need one too, you could just put some wood around the sides to keep them from getting out

We're building our Serama coop today and tomorrow - so excited!

My DH and I spent the afternoon yesterday replacing the chicken wire with hardware cloth on the big coop. It looks much better and when I looked out there this morning there weren't a million little sparrows in there eating my very expensive feed!

home from retreat! All i can say is WOW. I got all the answers i was looking for (and a few i wasnt, but that explained some things anyway) and gained many new friends and a deep sense of my faith.

it was the best experience of my life so far!!!!!!!!
