Arizona Chickens

I think I have another broody. I was putting everyone to bed and checking for stray eggs tonight, and reached into the favorite nesting bucket without shining a light in it first. I encountered feathers followed very rapidly by a loud growl and a well-wielded beak. Vader (as in Darth) is my 2nd ranking hen and she is in the #1 nesting spot, so I foresee trouble tomorrow! Anyone in the OroValley/Marana/Catalina/Tucson area have some fun fertile eggs available? I'd love to add some colored &/or dark eggs to my mix, as almost all my EE lay brown. (As does everyone else.)

I'm looking for Delaware eggs in the area but if I hear about anything else, I'll let you know. Just yesterday I read your thread about Nit. That was so great that she recovered. You really cared well for that bird.

We started off with 3 chickens, and now have 14. Last night I tried to hint to my husband that if he wants new golf clubs, he needs to build me two new coops first. I am becoming a monster.

We started with 6. Now were down to about 35 adults. I am not counting anything not yet laying. That may double the numbers. I don't count quail either. Its pointless. Lol
