Hmmm, I might only ask for one coop! Really though building the coop was NOT his favorite thing to do, so probably would have to ask to purchase one! There is a really super cute coop for sale on Craigslist right now ... if it was not so obviously a chicken coop (because of neighbors), I would buy it in a minute!!! (maybe midnight delivery is possible)

He bought the clubs, so guess who is getting two new coops! When I say coops, I really mean pens. He's not a builder, but can slap something simple together. It's more than I can do.

What's with this cold snap? We have the chicks outside with a heat lamp, but I doubt a heat lamp can help much with freezing temps. I can't believe this, but I put a space heater out there for them. Never thought I would run a space heater outside all night.

At least Gallo is looking for chicken eggs, I'm searching the internet for emu eggs.

Bob, are you telling me that is where this all leads to?

First Laree, now you! I saw one hatch on a live web-cam a couple weeks ago, it was neat. I was surprised at the sounds it made. I have to admit, baby emus are one of the cutest things out there.

CrazyerThanAverage, I think chickens might be better at chicken math than humans! I hope you get a green egg to hatch.

I'm off to search for eggs.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! If I had an incubator and another acre, I'd be doing the same thing.

Confession! Actually, I am counting down to the HS conference in Phoenix in July. I really hope to meet up with you. I always spend a fortune when I go to that, but I plan to stash a little poultry money. I'm hoping you can show me how to get set up with quail and sell me a few. I am looking for specific breeds to add to my flock (WCBP, BLRW, FBCM, and Ameraucanas) and Japanese bantams and a couple of silkies if my daughter wears me down. I know you have some of those. Anybody else having any of those birds or chicks available in July? Maybe I better build more than 2 more coops.

Oh, thank you! That is so helpful of you. I haven't even begun my investigation. I was dead-set NOT to get any more chickens until my girls were two years old (next year) and I've avoided thinking about hatching in any way. I see what it's done to y'all out there! I guess it's happened to me now too.
