we saw a car for sale on craigslist
email them and here is what they said

$1800 and it`s firm.
why did they post it in arizona

Even Mahonri's sticky-cemented BLRW "Gorilla Snot" is a healthy 20-week old.

But you are right, the odds are NOT in that chickie's favor. Can you hear peeping when you tap on the egg?

More importantly, what are your hands doing in the incubator during lockdown, hmmmm?

Pastrymama, not that I NEED them, but wanna trade some Delaware/Australorp cross eggs for another dozen duck eggs? I think I have an Australorp roo, and i like him, but he's blind in one eye now, don't know exactly what happened. He gets chased off to the edges of the property by the kings of the roost.

Of course you NEED more hatching eggs! Sure, I'll make that trade, but I only have 3 dellie girls and ZERO eggs right now so let me start collecting. I'll pm you when i'm close so you can come by. If you ever want my roo, just let me know. He is very handsome. Now that we have some giants under a cochin, we may keep a roo from that hatch and ole' ricky ricardo will have to move on to greener pastures. but he is a good roo.

Mahonri, NoSkiveez, & LareePQG - Thanks for the input. I have candled the egg. It is solid black with an air pocket at one end. (as of a couple of nights ago) I think that means it is/was developing. I didn't know you could tap the egg to make the chick peep. Cool! I didn't hear anything when I held it up to my ear. My hand wasn't "really" in the incubator. Betsy hasn't gone into "lockdown." She is still getting off the nest once, or twice, a day for a "constitutional." That is when I check out the eggs and noticed the crack. Betsy hasn't been a great brooder, but maybe I'll have a little fuzzy surprise in the morning. There's always hope! (As deluded as it may be!)
