What is really bad is that a lot of time their victims are elderly. When my daughter worked for First Credit Union she use to tell me very sad stories about elderly people who would come in and not understand how the bank would let someone take all their money. They are easy targets, I know many times my mother-in-law would tell us how someone would offer to to winterize her windows, paint her house etc. They always needed money up front as a good intention to pay, or to buy the supply's. Every time she handed them money, she never saw that person again. She was dishing out $300.00 to $800.00 at a time. For every victim there is 10 or more people willing to take advantage of you.

Geez I wish my eyes could see straight before coffee that way I wouldn't have to edit.

When I worked at a bank, the "big" scam was people would steal your outgoing mail, and sort it by bank, then wash the ink off, and rewrite the check to themselves (their fake ID name) and go cash them. They would have them organized by bank in big boxes and just go from bank to bank (drive through) and cash them. You always knew because they wrote in a felt tip and you could feel the ball point writing from the original writing. Now they just steal your check and instead of washing it ... they just order checks on your account and go all over town buying stuff. Nice!

I am amazed at how creative thieves can be. I hated my days working in a law firm when we would defend ruthless criminals. I know we all have a right to the justice system and a fair trial, but a crook is a crook. You know; an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. It doesn't seem right that you can pay your way out of it. That's another very sore subject with me, so I'll stop before I get carried away..

Morning all!

I feel like I got hit by a double swat of the ugly stick. I was up kinda late ~1am, and as soon as I started to drop off, Ronin threw up in his bed.

2 year olds can barf waaaay more than little babies.

So I got him showered, teeth brushed, and ushered him into our room. He was still bleary-eyed, and must have been confused because he walked up to the bedpost and peed on it like it was a tree.

Shower 2.

I get him settled into my bed, on a extra big barf-catching towel, and started to drift off.

Then he barfed again, in my hair, and I went on to shower #3.

All in all, it could have been worse.

Also, check out my super-awesome-tastic post on FarmBell today.
Ok maybe it is not that great, but I try;)

Poor little pukers! My DD didn't puke all that much (or maybe it's been so long I've forgotten how bad it was). The worst time happened while we were camping. In the middle of the night she spewed a shocking volume all over our large dog, which was sleeping between all of us in the camper. Fortunately, my DW woke immediately and stopped the dog, who wanted to jump up and shake it off. I always shudder at the thought of what would have happened had the dog followed her instinct.

Oh my. A couple years ago Sarah and Hannah had a stomach bug thing, exactly 4 days apart, that cycled for 5, count them, 5 months. start with the trotts (they were in diapers...not that it was sufficient), then throw up everything (and then some) throw up some more, (on me, because they couldn't bear for me to leave their sides) poop some more, scare me to death, then run around like they were fine. Wash rinse, repeat. I feel for you. Worst 5 months ever. I wanted to cover the house with a sci-fi dome and nuke it.

Yep. Classic CL scam.

They probably have an apartment/house they can rent you too.

Its a scam! We ran into about 10 of those scams on craigslist when we were looking for a truck. A few days after we got a,truck there was a story on the news about a woman getting ripped off on one of the trucks we emailed someone about. They claimed to be in the army and would sell a 2007 truck for $2700 with it packaged in a cargo shipping box. She never got her money back.

I bet they went to the same school as that Nigerian businessman that is always sending me e mails.
