Arizona Chickens

Joel David: Glad to see you back! Excellent news about the house.

In other good news, My Buckeye, Jean Grey has gone broody again, but I don't have a rooster anymore, so I don't have any fertile eggs. If anyone has some that they can spare, please let me know.

If you're not picky I have an EE roo over RIR, DEL, BR, EE and BO you'd be welcome to some of my mutt eggs. You could have the roo too if you like ;D.

Oh heck. New to this! Marked them public, go try again!

UNBELIEVABLE. You are correct. 5 boys and 1 girl. Not good odds.... but you can Craigs list them, I sold almost all of mine from $5 to $15 each.

I had 6 boys and 3 girls from Easter hatch... I saved a blue wheaten with nice BLUE legs and I save a splash wheaten that is going to be a real looker and will replace my current splash roo that I bought from Peachick.

I sold two of the pet quality girls and saved the one with the best muffs and beard.

Did you want any of these back?

Mahonri's thank-you present:

I wanted to ---FINISH IT--- finish it, but I really really really needed my parking space back. It is getting hot. I also refrained from painting it, because I would have chosen "center-stripe yellow" or "hotpants pink" or something horrid. I *heart* reject paint from Home Depot.

When I come across some more expanded metal, I want to replace the hardware cloth.

The front comes down for easy cleaning. I am also making some front doors for it, for later installation if needed.

OMG! That is sooo overkill!!! I want one! I love it! I think the center-stripe yellow would have given it the little "je ne sais quoi"! Wonderfully over the top. Did you guys originally run away from the art community? That is so skillful!

If I show this to my chickens they will want to move out and go to PHX LOL. My coops/facilities are decent but nothing like this! I'll never post a picture again

THe DH is an over-engineering over-achieving welder.

Nothing is good enough for him!

He wanted to put the big 4-wheeling wheels on it like the ones on my brooder. I had to explain to him that Mahonri's yard isn't all ghetto like my yard.
