This is the month we should be most proactive to get ready for the fall. Here are a couple planting guides for Tucson:
My favorite: http://communityfoodbank.com/pdf/plantingguide_new.pdf
http://www.harvestingrainwater.com/tucson-az-plant-lists/tucson-arizona-garden-planting-calendar/
http://www.tucsonorganicgardeners.org/Assets/VegetablePlantingGuide.pdf
I think that the recommendations for Sept. are best planted as early in the month as possible.
I have cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes and peppers already started (indoors). If you haven't started them, do so quickly. I hope to have them big enough to go into the ground on Sept. 1.
TT! might also have some suggestions. She originally sent me some of these planting guides, but I think one she sent me is missing from the list.
