In the area where we will have a fenced area for chickens to hang out (supervised by us as it won't be fully covered) there is a bush in there I was going to leave. Concerned that its not a safe plant for chickens and wanted to see if you knew what kind of plant this is and if its safe or not for chickens? I don't love the plant but it will give a nice shade spot in the play area for our chickens.

Looks like that to me, and it is a WONDERFUL plant when not manicured into geometric shapes. And that is so TOTALLY unnecessary as they really need very little trimmng or grooming. Anyways, I have several in my yard, and the chickens love their shade.
