Arizona Chickens

I was suspecting the same. When I hold Sweety, and hold one of his/her sisters... Sweety is much more bulky and bigger and more muscular. I was doing some research on the Barred Rocks...turns out..the lighter in color, the more it is likely too be a roo. I let my son pick out some chicks when we first bought them..and he picked out Sweety because of how lightly colored it was. I am actually excited that Sweety might be a roo. I have no restrictions on roosters where I live and 1 acre of land that they are all free to roam on.

Novaleigh, it looks rooish to me but just a guess. Nice comb going there.

Here is another pic that made me realize how much Sweety is different from his/her sister... Big difference on the comb. Sweety lives up to his/her name though! If Sweety is a roo...he/she is really people and other chicken friendly!

So sorry about your silkie Fuzzy

But is looks like you already have a companion for your turkey!

Yea, Les was trying to fix her gate and she was in his lap when he was sitting on the ground working with it. She is in love with him and after her hugging she lays an egg that day!
I really would like to have a tom for her but I have been told they can be nasty. If I can find a sweet one I would. I know Blue is what is called a heritage breed so a Slate tom would be good for her. Or I would like a mini white. I thought of getting another hen also but I don't have a lot of money to spend on a turky. I know that Pratt will have some babies near the first of March.

For anyone interrested, I have some silkies for sale. A few that are 4 months and some chicks just about to hit 8 weeks. I have more under a broodie and in the bator, and the fireman said I can only have one silkie coop. Boo! Need to make some room. Send me a pm if you are interrested.

What colors do you have? I so want a splash!
