One of the black australorps and another red broiler/production red.

What a great chicken weekend!

That's funny.
When I saw your pictures of the big girls looking at the little ones I thought that Australorp looked about ready.
Mine don't look quite ready yet and nobody is even squatting but I'm sure it'll be soon. I hope you get an egg from one of them on Valentine's day (my previous prediction, remember?).

Post a pic of your reds (One dot and the other one in question) and I'll try to help you figure it out. So far I think the red in the above picture with the bared rock is a PR. It looks just like mine.

we finally made it home. One of the chicks died before we even left. I was an americana from higley but everybovy else looked great. we were quiet a sight. MInivan full of chicks and chickens...my cousin thinks I may be a redneck!!!

I agree, I think the one in the pict looks exactly like yours and is a PR.

The other one looks just like One Dot only a tad smaller (body & comb/wattles) and I think she is a broiler like One Dot.

But I loves my One Dot!

You have such a great memory! Not only of the birthday for the chicks (Hatch day?) but of the valentines prediction!

This is me crossing my fingers!

If I have time I'll get a pict tomorrow - if not it'll prolly be Friday before I get a chance.

PDX2PHX, I bet I know which serama you got. Was it the little roo by himself in the for sell bird area? My husband wanted him so much but we didn't have a place for him at this time. When I get one I want them to be in the house chickens and go out on not to cold not to hot days. The little roo was a bit wild also. I think it was best to keep a hatchling to be more of a pet.
He is very pretty. Glad he went to someone from the forum.

Fuzzybird,

we got the pet quality serama hen (she was in with a nice looking roo). The two PQ Seramas were in together in a pen on the floor, next to another pen with two show quality seramas. Our hen was from Rachel in Douglas, AZ I believe? Is Rachel on here I wonder? She is lovely, but also very wild...we are hoping she calms down !!

The other new hens are enjoying their treats and and adapting well!
