You would have to put it on or under the step. Preferably under and somewhere on the top half unless yours has a lot of clearance before it hits the ground?Do you have a picture so I can see where you have the counter weight placed?

So Blackie, my FBCM hen that I suspected as an internal layer, died today. She was OK this am, ate a little, drank a little, but steadily deteriorated through out the day. She died peacefully.
I am so upset, the thermostat failed in my incubator and when I went to check on it, the temp was 136 degrees
I had probably 25 developing Seramas in there.![]()
