Thanks, Novaleigh. It's just a little unsettling seeing the old girls (1year old) treating the young gals! I'm still very new at the chicken business and have a lot to learn! I love these things!

I do. I have a few up on the ceiling along a small part of my cage in front of a fan on the ground. My husband hooked them up to the lawn water system on a separate channel or timer. Our timer box for the lawn comes with three separate ones that we can program. We used one for the coop. You replace the drip heads with a mister head, it is easy. It goes on from 10:00 to 6:00pm. My guys did not pant today while they were on amazingly and it was 111 degrees. I kept checking on them expecting them to. They were comfortable. I know they say not to do it because they don't breathe out and it can get into their lungs but I decided it is a risk I am taking. I don't want them dropping dead from the heat and uncomfortable. I made sure the mist is small and not larger drops. There is lots of areas to get away from it and the fan carries the mist and cools the cage down. it took a week or more for them to get comfortable with it.Does anyone use misters ?
Very cute!So glad to hear of Bluebells status!!!![]()
JohnSWA, Your girls should settle down as soon as a pecking order is established. =)
Now I am sure this was posted before, how could it not have been? It is hilarious! I am TOTALLY GUILTY of many of them! Anyone else?

Also, my 13 week old fawn runner (Dobby) and 13 week old magpie (Cupcake) ducks decided they want to be parents last night. I hope this means eggs soon! =) Here is a pic of my wonderful daughter and our fawn runner, Dobby!

I'm so sorry.Daisy was welcomed to Chicken Heaven this morning by her flock sisters who have gone before her. We are saddened that she left us but know she is running around once again. She was DH's favorite as this was the only girl he named.
