Arizona Chickens

Thank you so much for posting up information to help us..
I have been looking all morning at the tractors.. Can't wait to let them
go about their day and forage in the yard.. I will defiantly work on
changing/ adding info on our page...

Well, the weekend gathering was such a great time with a fantastic turn-out. It was so much fun hanging out with old friends, putting faces with names and making new friends. We talked and laughed 'til late into the evening/early morning. I just want to thank everyone for coming and providing such interesting conversation and amazing food. My only regret is that there wasn't enough time to spend with each person as I would have liked. We'll definitely have to do this again.
Hopefully I will be able to catch the next one. I know you all must of had a better time then I did -- helping daughter and her family move! And in another 2 weeks is when I'm moving !

Congratulations on the impending move! I know you've been waiting for this for a while now. Did you find a place outside city limits?

I am guessing it still needs a home. Won't hurt to call her. This was dated July 12th.

The quotes are taken from the FB photo...

"This is Kenny, a little bantam silky roo about 7-8 months old. He needs a new home. He is in north Phoenix, AZ. He is a bit too loud for my neighborhood. He's friendly but has a little attitude and struts sideways at my dogs. Let me know if anyone is interested in him."

Hello fellow Arizonans!
big_smile.png
I received an invitation from Gallo de Cielo to come a join you (thanks again). I'm so excited to find other backyard chicken owner's in AZ.

I'm in Phoenix and just in the planning stages. I have an area picked out and now I'm looking at coops and potential hens. We are only interested in raising hens for eggs/pets right now.

Any tips on coops and heat-hardy birds would be much appreciated. I did find this coop on Craigslist and was considering it because hubby may never get around to building me one (a long run would be added).
