I have decided to start with Buff Orps

... the question is, is there a hatchery or a state breeder that offers these? Has anyone locally done any business with Cackle Hatchery in Missouri? I would rather keep my business in state, but have been unable to locate a source within the state..
Any and all input welcome....

Thank you

Hi, I have LF Buff Orps. I would be happy to sell you some eggs or Jim Hall (HallFamilyFarm) has some too. Hatchery chicks are good too but we swap and sell alot amongst each other so you normally end up with better chickens. In my opinion. Honestly it really just matters what your looking for. We love all chickens. Where in Arkansas are you from?

LF's ??? I did talk with Jim the other day.. doesn't have anything right now.. I'm looking now for source to purchase after the first of the year... Also (being picky now), I would really like to find a couple two-three month old pullets..... am I dreaming??? We live just north of Pickles Gap... north of Conway...

You will be pleased with Pauletta's quality Buff Orps! I have seen them and may try to swipe... I mean swap some eggs from her this spring.

LF= Large Fowl instead of Bantam or small. My Buff are very large. They need Jenny Craig. LOL

I have dealt with Cackle, very good people and nice birds.
If you are wanting to stay in state then do as 202rooster says in the post above, buy from a breeder.
