Arkansas folks speak up.........

I know you're right Jarhead. I usually let them run off, like they will usually do. In this case, the chickens kept running over to them, and the girls were over there freaking out, worried one of them was going to get bit. I was worried for all them, both my real babies and the feathered ones.

Cherry do you have any pictures of your Gold Necked D'uccles? I would love to have some eggs later in the summer if you would have some. I'd love to have a Red Silkie too. Wish I could get those eggs you have, but there's no way right now.

I might have a pic of when my female was a chick.

I don't have a d'uccle male, so it might be a while before I have eggs available. Until I find one I'm going to breed her to the Mille Fleur male. You can do that and it actually helps to brighten up the gold colored background color. Then you breed that cross back to a Golden Neck and you'll have a better Golden Neck in the end. I want to get a Golden Neck male, but first I have to find homes for two other d'Uccle males so I'll have room. One male is a Mille Fleur but I think one may be a Buff Columbian.

Julie, nope, sorry, no picture of her.
I need to get one though, she's so pretty.

You might not want these red Silkie eggs anyway. I don't know if you saw where I mentioned that she might have gotten with one of my other bantams, lol! I'd also bet most of the chicks will be white. The male I had her with is white, and I have 2 of her chicks and one is white.

Julie, if you do want to try these though, I'd take just $15.00 for all 10 of them, that includes shipping, and you can pay me later. Four of the eggs are from my blue hen, and she usually has blue and black chicks. Those will be pure.

I'll be leaving here pretty soon though, so let me know if you want me to pack them up. If not, that's fine too.

I have to run up to my daughter's school and turn in an assignment since she's at Girl's State, and I'll be back in a little under an hour.

Seriously Jarhead? I've never heard that law ever and I've been in Arkansas 21 years. No matter...he only tickled the snake with the post hole diggers.

Seriously, it's a state law. It's included in the game and fish regulations. AGFC can give you a copy of the regs. All snakes are protected under AR law as non game species. They consider them critically important to the environmental balance. I know someone who got busted for it. You are supposed to call a licensed person who can trap and remove them. Most usually charge you to do it. One in central AR is Arkansas Urban Wildlife Control in NLR. Beyond that the state advocates prevention. Like I said I am not a snake lover, just trying to keep folks educated so they can protect themselves legally.

It may be the law, but is it if something kill your critters you can do something about it... I think that is in a law somewhere...

Simon says... LAY DOWN!
