GOOD NEWS from Tractor Supply Company!

I got an announcement from them in the mail today. They are now carrying the complete line of Purina Sunfresh poultry feeds in all the stores.

They will also have the full line of Purina equine, swine, cattle, rabbit, and goat feeds as well. They have an introductory coupon of $2 off a bag (up to 10 bags). I was having to special order the Purina products from the feed store and it would take 3 weeks for them to get it. TSC is closer and cheaper, so they will now get my feed business. I know lots of you have been looking for this feed locally, now you have it

Chicky Tocks - We have an EE who lays a pink egg as well. It's really a cool color egg. It is not that light shade of brown that folks call pink either. It really looks like a pastel pink kinda like the color of that sidewalk chalk. It is the egg we get the most comments on when we give away eggs to people. If she was laying at the moment I would post a pic of it. She decided to start molting and stop laying this week

If and when I start looking for new birds, I want to get some EEs. That would be such fun.

Dose anyone else have a problem eating chicken after owning chickens? The thought of KFC kinda made my stomach turn yesterday (especially after what has happened with Eva)

Nope, eat them everyday. And eat lots of chicken too. I will wait a bit before I tell you what I do to roosters that we end up with over here.

No problem eating chicken here. We have 7 Buff Orphington roosters and 2 Black Copper Marans roosters that are going to be eaten at our Fall party we have. The roosters from the chicks I just hatched will ne headed to freezer camp in a few months. My mother in law refuses to eat any of her roos

Speaking of roos.... as usual I have some extra ones. Does anyone want a Golden Cuckoo Marans rooster? I have two to give away. They are still chicks and don't have to go right now, but eventually they will. Also have a bantam Wyandotte chick that looks like a rooster that I will probably not keep. He's very pretty even now, black and gold.
