Arkansas folks speak up.........

I know how you feel about the eggs. I have 7 hens and haven't seen an egg in almost a month. Five of them are molting and two are just on strike, I guess. My hen house looks like one big feather pile. My barred Rock hen just kind of exploded 3 days ago and dropped half her feathers at once. If I hadn't been looking right at her when I got to the pen, I would have thought something got her for sure.

Dawn,
I make soap all the time in 12 to 20 lb batches. I can help you with anything you need to know. I have talked people through soap making over the phone several times. Some of them were afraid in the very beginning but once they had a few batches under their belt so to speak..they were better. I'm not saying that you have to make batches as big as mine...some people only make a 2 or 3 lb batch. How ever big of a batch you make is up to you and I can show you how to come up with your own recipe and calculate it to where it'll turn out right and that you'll know how hard or soft it'll turn out. IF you have an outlet for goats milk that is even better cause goats milk is a skin emolient and adds moisture to your skin and helps to make it soft. I sent you a PM but I didn't know if you'd get it. the last time I PM'd someone they never got back to me....Have a great day.
