!!! Good luck with the hatching and you too Dawn!

Tala - anytime hon! LOL I've got 8 chicks in the brooder and 22 eggs in the bator. My DH is going to KILL me cause of course I don't have rooms for all these birds.
I'm trying my hand at hatching four of my BCM eggs (those I'll keep) and I ordered a dozen Seramas (silkied and frizzled!!

)...and I have some solid white EE over buff orp eggs and three of my EE girls eggies too. LOL oh I am sooooo dead. Hopefully I won't have any trouble hooking up some people with some chicks. I've got 3 families at my church who are very interested in starting their own backyard flocks, so wish me luck!

Maybe I could get you a few of my fertile mutt eggs to hatch for me, without DH knowing of course.
V-day I mentioned buying a 'bator and keeping it at an "undisclosed location" and he mostly just laughed . . . . sounds like permission to me! LOL

I am not hatching now. I am afraid of this weather. I have some silkie eggs coming in March and I think I'll get some more eggs from Wye Mountain Chicks. I also want to try some quail. I want, I want , I want.

Everytime Tommy hears me say something like "We're going to build a quail run" he says " who is we? You got a rabbit in your pocket?"
He is so not down with the poultry thing.

I got a call from the Poultry commission guy, Dr. Doss. He said there wasn't anything obviously wrong with Stripey (my cockerel who died) and the bloodwork won't be in till the end of the week. I expect more news next Monday.
Kinda seems like it was just "one of those things" not anything contageous, but the tests will show for sure.

In other news, I really appreciated the sunshine today!!
