Arkansas folks speak up.........

Julie, Cute little turned up tail, but I don't think its a Japanese. Should have yellow legs. Maybe orpington ? with those pink legs.

I bought a couple of Buff Orpington's this weekend and in the second and third pictures they sure do closely resemble each other.

A Buff Orpington Bantam would be nice.

ETA: I gave the Horstman eggs a quick look last night and I think several are developing! They're only on day 5 today, so I'll candle again in a few days to be sure.

If he has any Orp questions, have him call me!

Hello, how is everyone enjoying this hot weather?
We had two little chicks hatch yesterday that I'm pretty proud of... a Blue (or Black) Silkie and a White Cochin out of SQ stock. I had a mix of eggs and these two were all I got out of the batch. They are so cute. The little Silkie has a vault. Can't wait to see how they turn out. I'll try to get some good pics tomorrow and post.

Fixing to go work. Lots to do. have coops to build; sand to relocate; a swimming pool to inflate; fence to build. Lots to do, but now have short folks to help me! No more school till August!

Kinda hanging around the house a little. Went to church this morning, came home, planted a giant herb pot that I've been holding herbs in styro cups forever for. Put the 3 weekers out in their playpen and now it's threatening another pop up thunderstorm. Is anyone other than Benton getting hit almost every night about the same time for the last week? The chicks have been screamers, so I've been bringing them back into their brooder each night. They're really gonna freak when I put them in the partitioned section of the coop with the bigs!

I dunno, but I do find it rather annoying. I dry all my clothes outside, but I can do them inside it's just bleh when it's so hot out in the morning it's perfect drying weather (well the humidity is a BIT high, but the sunsihine dries them fast enough) but I can't leave them out while I'm gone to work coz it's sure to rain on them!
Plus, the grass is still all wet in the morning when It rains at dusk....it needs a mow SOON!!!
