Arkansas folks speak up.........

@Ozarkguy
 I definately want organic milk for my children when I have them. Not to mention locally sourced, I know what big companies put in feed to get costs down =/
I buy raw cow milk now because my kids go through a gallon a day but I'm moving back to the farm in may and will be getting milk goats again.

Pudden Puff, it really sounds like you have a full time job caring for your animals and fowl.I think that the Llamas would be interesting to care for. Good luck with the soon to be "Baby makes three".

Thank for the well wishes. She is driving me crazy. Her "due date" was estimated to be 1 April' go figure. I am sure she will deliver on whatever day this week that is the mos INCONVENIANT for me.:barnie

  either of you have goats? I'm considering some dwarf nigerians for milk, and I would love your input and general knowledge on care etc. I have never had goats. I know more to get more than one, I think I know how to milk them.. inputs??
I have no goats nor want any my older brother has some and I truly dislike the creatures super cute when babies but as adults I dislike the ramming and car climbing they attempt if out

Thank you. I would love to put some pics on here, but I think I read somewhere that I have to make 10 posts before I can do that. Is that correct? If it is, what is the reason for that? Doesn't really matter why I guess. Just curious. I haven't quite made 10 posts yet, but should be getting pretty close.

I remember the post limit but I don't know why. Maybe it is so someone doesn't photo bomb the site and then run.

DANG! You must have some acreage. My welshie started laying so eventually I may let her sit on her eggs and hatch them out. I think you can get cheaper GROWN call ducks at the beebe flea market. I might be mistaken but I think they were 2 for $20 which is cheaper when you consider all the feed and months to grow them out. Hey if you go May 10th then I will have Welsh Harlequin Ducklings that aren't related to ours. I will have 4 extra (feed store ordered them in so I could avoid shipping).
