Arkansas folks speak up.........

When they get ready, I'd really love to have some of the "miniature" ducks. I'm thinking of converting an area next to the koi pond to a duck habitat, but I'm thinking the smaller the better.

I will let you know - the mandys are super flighty - pretty but crazy.
The calls are sweet and easy to handle - but loud

I think our 1 yr old thinks they are cute squeaky toys

But I have company coming in from Michigan!!!

But seriously this is good to know. I can't imagine being able to get rid of a roo at one though. LOL I'm sure I'll end up needing to do it eventually!

I have cochin chicks coming out my ears. I am keeping all the blues and self blue but will sell the black/black mottled. If anyone is interested - I will sell them for $3 each.

Do you still want this pair of blacks then?.....or poorly colored mottled blacks, lol!

If you'd rather not mess with them, if you have too many right now, I don't mind holding on to them. You can change your mind.

I looked the female over good and only found 3 tiny white spots on her wing feathers so far. I had heard that they sometimes don't get their spots until they're older, but if yours get them a lot sooner, then I might have been lied to.

I was just selling them to find some room for my d'Uccles, but they are as tiny as little bugs right now so I'm not in too big of a rush. They're soooo cute, but I'm always afraid I'm going to step on one.

I'm not getting to HS to pick up my Blue Wheaten Marans boy this week after all. The weather has been too unpredicable for Bev to send him out, so we're waiting another week or two, so I won't be coming your direction for a little while longer.

Oh, and anyone want a free Easter Egger cockerel chick?...or two?...or three?

I hatched 7 male chicks, most of them EE (Ameraucanas but not standard colors). I'm keeping 2 or 3 for my breeding project, so I have at least 4 I need to rehome.

My females are all spoken for.

One of the males is a barred rock EE! He's so pretty! Nice muffs and beard, but barred coloration. Very neat!

Most of the others are regular EE's.

Another one is a gorgeous cross breed male, not an EE, from either my black sex link or my delaware and probably my neighbors rooster...I think, lol! He's kind of a Wheaten coloration, but I don't THINK he's from my Wheaten Marans because that roosters leg is injured and I don't think he's been able to breed. This chick is super duper friendy for some reason. Wants to be picked up and petted a lot like a female chick.

All boys are FREE, FREE, FREE!

Aww LOL!

Actually, I was trying to think if I had something else I could throw into the deal to make it even sweeter! Maybe a free dozen eggs or something, lol!

I have too many roos already, so I'd like to find these homes while they're still cute and cuddly.

rbamterry...
I am still interested in the pair - just let me know if you ever get this way.

Ok, I'll let you know. My phone is completely broken now by the way! I don't know what happened. Quit ringing, then quit completely. If you need to contact me, you can pm or email me. I also don't have your number anywhere but in my phone, which is broken, so can you email me your number? Thanks!

Got it Amanda, thanks!

Ok, I have to brag on the Silkie hen that hatched 3 of 4 Silkie eggs I gave her the other day (I posted those pics a few posts back). Well, I just hatched 5 out of 6 Silkie eggs in the incubator, and I gave them to her and she happily accepted them! Yeah! You never know if they'll accept chicks or not, so I was nervous.

There is still one egg that hasn't hatched yet, but I put it in the day after the others, so maybe today.

These eggs hatched after going through two power outages, one which was at least 4 or 5 hours long. I just hope my Ameraucana eggs hatch tomorrow.

This little white one is my favorite. I hope it's a girl so I can keep it.
