Arkansas folks speak up.........

I'm also taking some mutt chicks too. My sumantra and phoenix roos are getting to my silkies. I guess I'm going to pen my silkies up so I can get some purebreed from them.

I would love it if you guys who have been to these auctions would talk a little about them--I'm afraid I'd be clueless and overwhelmed and wouldn't know what to do or where to go. But I'm frequently scrambling to get rid of cockerels if we don't have time to butcher them.

This is the Benton auction - it is the 3rd Sat of every month. Birds need to be there around 10 and auction starts at 12. They usually run birds thru until about 4 or 5 and then start on equipment and then goats, cows, sheep, etc.

I believe it is exit 111 off of I30 and you go about 5 miles (guessing here) you will see a horse training facility on the left and then you keep going and will see a small Dairyette on the right - the auction is right across from it - you will see a field with a barn towards the back - this is the auction - can't miss it with all the vehicles.

Hope this is as clear as mud - not good at giving directions

Oh I know where that is.. Lonsdale past the Cream Castle. They have a farm auction every 3rd Saturday? As in.. you sell hatching eggs? Chickens?

Please tell me more...

Thanks
