Hard to tell yet. Doesn't have the fancy tailfeathers yet but the feathers around the neck kind of look pointy like a rooster, but I'm not that experienced.

I had my ex mother in law look at it this morning and she said it was definitely a hen BC if it were a rooster the waddle and comb would be more pronounced by now. I know it isn't even attempting to crow it just clucks!

Hey guys im jenny I live in arkoma ok which is directly next to ft. Smith ar where we do all of our shopping and such... just wanted to pop in and introduce myself and maybe make some closer chicken friends nearby as in the okie feed everyone seems much farther away lol I love seeing pics and learning new things here on byc I just started my little flock recently and I have a few chickens and 4 baby chicks thus far and getting more organized and excited every day, just wanted to say thanks for letting me join in

Welcome @chrisnjenny. I'm in the exact opposite corner of the state, but I've visited Ft. Smith a few times and actually have family in Skiatook. I have ducks but help my grandmother with her chickens. We had 28 hatch in June and July but we lost 12 to our stupid dog. It happens sometimes.

Im sorry to hear about your stupid dog and yes im sure it does happen sometimes lol we have a dog too... sort of lol hes palm and blue heeler and kind of timid.. lots of people refer to him as a cat but really hes my daughters dog and hes excited about chickens although we wont let him get too close for fear of him just generally scaring them but I dont think hed ever hurt any of them... anyways thanks for the welcome!!!
