Arkansas folks speak up.........

A few years ago, we put a webcam in the bator at school and displayed it on the big screen when one would hatch. It was great and the kids loved it.

But I HAVE A PIP!

The cam is up and I'll have to watch the show from my desk today. Fortunately I'm only 5 minutes from the house if they need me. The lower left egg has a really good pip in it. The light is on and off of course but I have a lamp over it so it's not completely black....

Congrats to everyone on their hatches! Sooo many cute babies!

What a neat way to watch your hatch, Chicky Tocks, with a webcam. I'm afraid I wouldn't get much work done though, lol!

Well, I am sad to do this, but I think the best thing for me to do right now is offer my little Golden Cuckoo Maran chicks up for sale. We were planning on having a new shop with a fenced in area and coop for the chickens built this Spring. Well, it has rained so much that it hasn't been possible. It may be June before it's started. The chicks will have nowhere to go after they leave the brooder. My husband is not open to building another small pen for them, and also June begins our crazy Summer with camps, meetings, etc. We won't be around much and I won't be able to play with the chicks as much as I would like. I just screwed up the timing on these.

If anyone wants them, I'll sell the pullets for $5.00 each and the roos for $3.00. I also have one tiny Red Star left that hatched late. She can go along for free. I'd just like the person who gets them to promise to give me some eggs or chicks next Spring when I have room.

Aww Julie

I'm sorry about all this stupid rain. It really has been a pain in the patookis. I'm sure that you'll find someone to take those babies. I would in a heartbeat except for the cuckoos that will be hatching today. Also I have one more order of eggs that I'm on a waiting list for and then I'm done hatching...this year. But golden cuckoos!

No, I can'ts....le sigh.

Ok, and as for this cam..I'm not getting any work done!!!

Thanks, Chicky, for the sympathy. These are the most interesting looking little chicks I've ever had. I'd love to see how they feather out.

Love the chick cam, but I haven't seen anything happen on it yet.

Oh no! The rain has been horrible. I just know got my gardens worked up after they all flooded. Planted watermelon starts yesterday, and got a few tomatoes and squash, etc planted about a week ago. Some of those look pretty pitiful though. They should have went into the ground weeks ago. What is up with all the water!

What lines did you say they were? Sorry I don't recall.

Did you say they had feathered legs?

I wouldn't mind having some if they have feathered legs, and if you can mix them in with regular Cuckoos. I have one grown Cuckoo hen and a few chicks now.
