Arkansas folks speak up.........

Yeah, that left bottom egg is starting to zip, but it's hard to see because I still have them in the carton standing up. I'm going home at 1:00 today because I have an appt. at 2:00 so I'm thinking that I might quickly reach in and put them on the wire.

OMG look at it now!!! Is that chick hatching through the TOP of the egg or is that a light reflection I'm seeing?

Well, if one of the boys had feathered legs, I'd take a roo and a few hens, even if the hens were clean legged.

I really need a feather legged rooster to get it into my cuckoo line. I have one male chick now that has one or two feathers on each foot, that's it, lol! I'm hoping he develops more as he gets older, but probably won't.

That cock in the first photo is gorgeous!

Hey everyone, I am not an arkansassy, but..... I live across the mississippi river.... in greenville.

Hey Ya'll!!!!

Hey back! Welcome to our thread.

I have feather legged Cuckoo Maran Roos. They hatched on the 22nd. All my girls from this hatch are spoken for.

What lines did you say yours were?

Hope I don't sound snooty, lol! I'm not, my Cuckoos are just hatchery stock. I'm trying to find a nice roo with feathered legs from a known line to improve my egg color and such.

I might should just keep this little guy I have though, despite the skimpy feathers. I've heard Marans roos can be boogers, but this one is a sweetheart. He flies up on the side of the brooder to be petted every time I walk in the room.

Mine are no special line. They came from a nice flock that was being reduced in the Austin area near Cabot. My grown roo is a good boy, he likes to eat out of my hand.
