I'll update you on the auction thread.

More news. Total of 64 new babies hatched. Mostly Naked Necks but some that turned out fully feathered. It's that because some of the NN are carrying only one copy of the gene for NN and about 1/4 of their offspring turn out fully feathered.

Anyone have any experience with Muddy Feathers Farm in West Fork, Ar?? Looks like they have quite a few different varieties of chicks. I'm thinking it makes more sense to buy local to me versus shipping chicks when we get ready to get them.

I've never bought from them because I've always found hatching eggs I had been looking for at better prices, but speaking with them on the phone they were pleasant. Prices aren't terrible, I'm just a die-hard cheapo. Lol.

Went to beebe flea market to see if it changed yesterday.... Nope... People were keeping the chicks in plastic containers with the lids on and no air holes... I felt like grabbing them all and setting them free... Ugh :(

Same here. Talked to him several times on the phone and he was very nice.
I plan on buying from him at some point in the future.
Last I talked to him it seemed he had an abundance of BO chicks.
Maybe you can work a deal?
no idea, just a thought. Even $4.00 is not that bad for good stock.

Thanks. We are looking for BO along with a couple of others. I don't mind paying a bit more for them if I can buy local and avoid shipping. I think it would be interesting for us newbies to actually go to a hatchery any way.
