Arkansas folks speak up.........

Birdsss-yes some turkeys are just beautiful! Im just getting into the chickens, almost have had them a year. I'm sure we will be acquiring even more animals as we go. My daughter wants ducks like crazy, but I just dnt know. I know nothing about them, so more research in my very near future! I hope you have happy turkenchicken momma and babies soon!

I have a broody banty that should have her brood next weekend, then I'm setting some eggs in my new incubator wed. Those will pop out in march. So I'm going to be very busy! Plz keep us updated, I love hearing how everyone does.

well this week, my broody turkey hen ought to hatch a dozen chicken eggs i put under her nearly 3 weeks ago. first time having a turkey hatch chickens out. got my fingers crossed! anygthing i ought to know about turkey hen vs baby chickens? will she reject 'em when she notices they aint poults?
I had a Royal palm hatch out 2 chicken eggs last year and raise them just like they were her own. Just watch them in case she does reject them, you can gather them up and raise them yourself. About 99 out of 100 will take whatever they hatch as their own.

Hello, my name is Mark and I'm from Siloam Springs. I have 42 eggs hatching forum first try at barnyard birds, I grew up with commercial hens. I chose buff orpingtons and am beyond excited as I'm at day 15. We live on six acres and are trying to be mostly self sufficient.

Sorry, we get so used to some abbreviations we don't even think about using them.

It's not a breed. EE stands for Easter Egger. These are the chickens that lay blue or green eggs and don't fit the criteria of Ameraucana or Aracauna. They can be mixed with anything.

Hey, anyone out there know why I can't post more than one classified on the BST? Or, who do I need to contact to ask why?

your Golden Feather membership has expired. NonGFM only gets one classified at a time.
