"Our first swap of the year. Bring your birds, eggs, and whatever else you want to bring. Derenda Garrett will be on the premises and will be testing all birds over 3 mos old. Cost of testing will be .75 per bird this year due to the cost increase for testing supplies. I'm hoping for a good turnout with lots of friends and fun so mark your calendar."

You're welcome. Maybe some day something will come up your way, I have kinfolk around the Batesville area, Cushman.draye,
I so appreciate you keeping us up to date on local going ons. I wish you were more toward the west/northwest side of the state so you would post something close to me. I enjoyed browns last year but it is a 2 hour drive.
@ChickEeeDee
I think I'm a little further than you into it... a month longer maybe? I have 4 rabbits, 2 ducks, 2 dogs, 4 quail, and 6 more ducks on the way (I only plan on keeping 2 though) then I want 3-4 silkies for my birthday and eventually 2 goats. Two of our rabbits also should be pregnant so more little rabbits next month, then when the quail start laying we will hatch them out too!
I'm in the Cushman/batesville area idk many people just moved here last June and I'm not the most social of neighbors hahaha they have a swap meet ever 2nd and 4th sat in cave city they also have a auction in Salem every Thursday I've thought about setting up my own swap meet for people like me who work on the weekendsYou're welcome. Haha nah! We live on 1/3 of an acre. I'm wanting silkies, I'm partial to the white ones =) I know what you mean about overwhelming the hubby... but my husband knows once I"m pregnant there is no saying no to raising organic food for our baby!Wow!!!! I'm a major newb compared to you! LOL we have 3 dogs, 1 cat, 3 boys (they count as animals!!! Ha ha), and January 31 I saw that TSC had chicks & ducks & the following day the hubby said I could get some chicks (2 barred rocks & 4 brown/white... Not sure of the breed yet). My heart was stuck on getting ducks but the supply of chicks were going quicker.... Less than a week later I went back for my two ducks (they are looking like they'll be pekings)I love my little funny farm!!! I'd love to grow it in a few years with maybe a few goats or a dairy cow... But I need to take it slow so not to overwhelm the hubby! He he he![]()
